A Trade Union is any combination (whether temporary or permanent) whose principal objects under its constitution are either one or both of the following (called «statutory Objects»).
(a) To regulate the relations between workmen and masters or between workmen or between masters.
(b) To impose restrictive conditions on the conduct of any trade or business.
An additional principal object which may or not, as the union chooses, be added to (a) or (b) or both is the provision of benefits to members. By «principal objects» in the above definition are meant not necessarily the objects as set out in the «statement of Object» in the rules, but what are shown to be the real objects of the combination by a consideration of both that statement and the rules as a whole. A trade union is not debarred from having other objects besides its principal objects, but it is the principal objects which determine whether or not is comes within the definition of trade union.
As long as it satisfies the requirement as to the principal objects a trade union may have any additional objects it chooses provided they are lawful and authorized by its constitution. If any such additional objects are «political objects», these must satisfy the statuary requirements.

Are you trying to translate it for a professional use or just dont know what a Trade Union is?

A "Trade Union" is to make things very simple, a group of workers that get together and go on strike every now and again to demand more money, better pay, better working conditions etc from the managers.

For example, recently in the UK Some Civil Servants (government workers)refused to work in protest at pay and job cuts.

As a result of this, managers are not allowed to fire/sack employees that go on strike providing they are part of a union, there has been a vote of workers to strike and other laws.


That is a gross oversimplification but it explains the concept. There are exceptions to the above etc.
